The StartSmart Conference and exhibition organizations aim is to explore the latest innovative Saudi and international startups, meet investors, and get insights on the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The StartSmart Conference will held under the patronage of Monshaat, Small and Medium Enterprises Authority of Saudi Arabia between March 5-7, 2020 in the Conference and Entertainment Center in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) – Jeddah

StartSmart 2020 Conference will be a one-day conference on 05 March, that will;
- coach, and
entrepreneurs to succeed faster and smarter. It will bring together all below mentioned attenders from private and government sectors;
- angel investors,
- venture capitalist firms,
- business organizations and
- high leadership and executives
Startup Investment Forum (SIF)
SIF is a three-day exhibition, between 05 March up to 07 March 2020, is aimed at providing startups and small businesses around the globe the opportunity to expand their businesses to the Saudi market and meet investors.
In addition to 27 innovative Saudi Startups from MITEF Saudi, more than 60 international startups are coming from different parts of the world, such as;
- United Arab Emirates,
- Poland and
- Greece among others;
Turkish ‘Consubcon’ will meet investors in Saudi Arabia
Turkish initiative “Consubcon” will be participating in the StartSmart Conference and Exhibition 2020 to bring subcontractor construction and contracting companies together on a digital platform.
Entrepreneur Emrah İnanç spoke to Anadolu Agency and said that he will present the Subcontractor Bank project to international investors taking part in the conference from around the world.
Some 80 global entrepreneurs have been invited to the event co-organized by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the U.S. and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event will give startups the opportunity to open up to Saudi markets.
From Turkey, the company of Inanc has been invited to publicize Consubcon’s app in the event.
He added that the system will combine multiple subcontractor construction and contracting companies on a single digital platform. Thus will create a digital initiative with a high added value.
Turkey has one of the most advanced construction sectors in the world.
İnanç said, Turkey has one of the most advanced construction sectors in the world. He added;
“Turkish companies are working in many international construction projects. We wanted to make use of this experience and merge it with contracting companies’ potential. In order to become a global brand, we carried 80 percent of our work in the Middle East since 2017. As Consubcon, we started this year to bring construction, subcontracting and contracting together.”
İnanç also touched upon reports of international organizations on the situation of migrant workers.
He said; “We send all of the work demand to workers in the countries that we operate in, in order to solve this problem and remove all intermediaries in the process, on a weekly and monthly basis.”
He said the initiative had attracted great attention in the Middle East and other regions.
